To think and act upon... and spread the message

This is obvious to some but needs repeated to all.

When you make energy efficiency part of your everyday activities, you are reducing energy demand. Reducing demand means that less natural gas, coal and other resources are needed to produce energy. This means less greenhouse gas emissions and cleaner air
for all of us and cost savings for you.

I read that Friday is also "No Buy Friday". One is encouraged to buy NOTHING on Friday in an effort to fight the super consumer nature of our society. We should all be thankful today for the planet we have left to us and thankful that there is growing concern and a more common trend toward stewardship not exploitation of our natural world. We can no longer take for granted air, water, and soil. Like the fox that chews his leg off to free himself from the trap, our society may be arriving at such a position in which we may have to sacrifice our lifestyle to escape alive. From household to household, we need to think every day about being more responsible to our planet. Hopefully we will come away with only scrapes and bruises and not lose a leg.
